Poland-specific modelling considerations for power markets and battery revenues
Poland has distinct market structures and balancing rules that require a specific modelling approach. This section covers the key aspects of the Polish power market and how battery revenues are simulated.
Poland is modelled as a single national bidding zone, with prices and revenues reported in Polish złoty (PLN). Cross-market comparisons are presented in euros using a fixed conversion. The modelled revenue stack covers day-ahead energy and frequency response from the Polish transmission system operator, PSE. Poland’s intraday market, capacity market, and mFRR are active markets, but are not included in this release.
